A Few Words from Rev. Joseph

Rev. Joseph writes on October’s Theme:  Cultivating Compassion
“Compassion is the radicalism of our time.” Dalai Lama It seems to me now that just about anything can lead one into the heart of the matter: that we ultimately belong to each other, are not separate, and completely interdependent. Even the things that bother us, the pebbles in our shoes, or worse, I think with patience and attention can lead us there. I’m feeling especially grateful and excited to celebrate our building’s Centennial on Saturday, October 18th. I’m really appreciative that people decided to create a space where cultivating compassion might be a possibility. This possibility never gets old, or goes out of style. I have a greater appreciation now for how important it is to be reminded of what and who we love, not just what we don’t want, or wish to avoid. Read more here
