This MLK weekend, we remember the dream that inspired many Americans toward a greater sense of love and fairness; It felt for many there was a new plan cast for our nation, and that we would see this plan through legally and spiritually.

Decades later in the present, we wonder – Is it in the plan that the arch of the universe is long, but bends toward justice? We contemplate the power of circumstance and our own agency when confronted with circumstances that seem to deviate from our plan.
