Malcolm X, a human rights activist who criticized White America during the turbulent 1950’s/1960’s, was much more than a critic. His viewpoints and sharp rhetoric inspired dignity, self determination, and self love among black people. What gifts can Malcolm X offer us today, and the American tradition at large?
