In Selma 1965: A Tipping Point in History

James Reeb when they were attacked on the streets of Selma two days following the infamous “BloodySunday” march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. The attack became a widely-publicized event which President Johnson used when he urged Congress to pass the Voting Rights Bill of 1965. Clark visited Selma again at this year’s 50th Anniversary, and reflects on the last 50 years.
