Universalism – July’s Theme “It must be everybody or nobody,” when questioned who would ultimately be in Heaven . Abraham Lincoln I usually take the period around the 4th of July to reflect on America, and my role in its present reality. I think each of us has a much greater influence on the whole of things than we can imagine, and I think it’s important to reflect and wonder about that. This month we’re going to explore “Universalism,” which at first blush seems to be a theological concept, but for me is a way of life. What is Universalism, and what does it mean to live it day by day? That is the question I will seek to offer a response to in July’s worship services and in our discussion on July 26: “Living Universalism.” I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Summer, and I look forward to continuing to be part of a community that aims to live: “It must be everybody or nobody.” See You In Church, Rev.
