The UUA Green Sanctuary Program provides a path for congregational study, reflection, and action in response to environmental challenges. Congregations that complete the program are accredited as Green Sanctuaries in recognition of their service and dedication to the Earth.

UUYO is exploring the Green Sanctuary program and has completed some of the early basic steps, including the most significant (and expensive) one, a Building Energy Audit. We seek interested people who want to continue this process, by reforming a Green Sanctuary Team and following the steps to get started as a Green Sanctuary Candidate.
