Annual 2021 UUYO Congregational Meeting

The First Unitarian Universalist Church of Youngstown will hold its annual Congregational Meeting on Sunday January 17th directly following the virtual worship service. All active members in good standing ( signed the membership book 60 days prior to the annual meeting, and in the past year,
participated in congregational activities and supported the church financially or by service) are eligible to vote.

We have three open board seats. Departing board members are Marguerite Felice, Andy Crabb & Diana Shaheen. Three members have accepted nominations to the board for two year terms; Lanore Jones, John Shartle & Carole McWilson. Lisbet Searle-White, current board vice president, is running for board president. If any active member wishes to nominate themselves please contact the church office.

At the meeting we will hold a vote on the annual 2021 budget, elect board members, discuss the evolution of the church and the solutions we created to thrive during this pandemic. We will also discuss and vote on adoption of the 8th principle. The text is as follows:

8th Principle: Create a diverse Beloved Community by dismantling racism, white supremacy, and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.

If you have any further questions please contact the office or the board president, Andy Crabb.
