Bits from the Board July 2022

At our July 21st meeting, Lisbet White, Gene Pusateri, Louisa Berger, Lanore Jones, Judy DeGenova, Tim Raridon, Rev. Joseph and I met at Gene and Susan’s residence where we conducted our monthly meeting followed by food and fellowship. Thanks to Gene and Susan for providing a delightful and delicious tapas spread and providing fabulous hospitality.

Securing our finances-Calling all members and friends! We are continuing to function at a significant financial deficit—largely due to last year’s pledge drive shortfall. Please review your pledge commitment to ensure it is up to date and if you have never pledged—consider beginning a pledge now. Fundraising ideas and volunteers are not only welcome, but will be a necessity in the coming year to ensure we can continue thriving.

UUYO Security-The Board continued conversation regarding maintaining and improving security measures, so that we may be proactive in all security measures. This conversation will be ongoing.

Promoting Religious Education- While we continue to have interest in families seeking out religious education, we continue to seek volunteers to assist in providing RE on Sundays. During this time RE director, Kathleen Hogue continues in her recovery atAustintown Medical Center and in the interim, we are looking for volunteers to step in and assist with RE. Reach out to her if you are interested in assisting: dre@uuyo.org

Our next meeting will take place on Thursday,August 18, from 6pm-8pm.

Respectfully submitted, Lindsay Sinkovich, Trustee
