Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Youngstown, Ohio! (We often abbreviate that to UUYO)
UUYO is a vibrant, growing, liberal religious community located on the Northside of Youngstown. We work to build a truly diverse and inclusive community and welcome everyone to our service. We honor and celebrate our differences in age, race, gender, ethnicity, class and sexual orientation.
Our congregation is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association. The Unitarian Universalist faith is one committed to religious freedom, respect for diversity and our responsibility to building a just world. We affirm the inherent worth of all people. We encourage our members to actively develop and explore their religious beliefs. We encourage a free and responsible search for religious truth and look to the wisdom found in many religious traditions as well contemporary experience to articulate our faith. We believe in the values of justice, compassion and peace and seek a world which lives these values. We understand that ultimately we live in a larger web of interdependence and that we are called to respect and protect the earth and the web of existence of which we are part.
